Prompts come in both printable color cards (4 to a page) and digital slides to be used with Google Slides

Prompts included:

  • What is your favorite thing about the season, Fall?
  • When you go outside during the Fall, what do you see? Hear? Smell? Feel?
  • Write a story about having a pumpkin carving contest.
  • Have you ever been to a pumpkin patch? What was it like? If not, imagine what you would do there.
  • What are some activities you can only do in the Fall? Which is your favorite?
  • Write about your perfect day at the fair. What do you do and what foods do you eat?
  • What is your favorite fall memory? What happened? What people were there?
  • What is your favorite way to spend an afternoon during Fall?
  • Write about your favorite food or drink to have in the Fall.
  • What does your family do for Thanksgiving? What are some of your traditions?
  • Do you go trick or treating? Why or why not?
  • What is your favorite Halloween costume? Why?
  • Write a poem that describes the way leaves change colors.
  • Imagine you are entering a pie contest. Write about how you would make a winning pie.
  • What is your favorite sport to watch or play during the Fall?
  • How is Fall different from Winter? How are they the same?
  • Use this prompt to write a story: “In the garden I saw the largest pumpkin I had ever seen…”
  • Write a step by step process of how to build a scarecrow.
  • Write about what you would do if you were a farmer in the Fall.
  • Write a list of all the things you are thankful for.
