Hey Y’all!! I am SO excited about this post!! I have teamed up with some seriously amazing bloggers/teachers/friends to bring you an all about FALL themed link up! We will all be sharing things from books, crafts, activities, tips, and resources with YOU! The best parts? You have the chance to win $100 gift card… YES $100! and our resources from this post will be all in one place on tpt: just search the hashtag #fallintogreatresources!
Today I wanted to share a tip, book, freebie, and resource with you!!
Have you heard about the app “show me”? Well if you haven’t it is FANTASTIC! There are so many great uses for this app-even if you only have one device! I use this the most during math small group. The app is basically a white board on your device. I let my students use it to show me their work, and I also use it to model how to solve the problem. My students really love using the iPad so it keeps them engaged! My favorite part is how it erases everything in just one click! This makes is really easy to use throughout the use of my mini lesson!
The Lonely Scarecrow is such a great read aloud! It teaches a great lesson on friendship based on heart and not outer appearances. Not everyone looks like us but we can all be a good friend to someone in need! You can get this book on Amazon!
October is the PERFECT month to teach all things spooky!! 😉 My two most favorite ways to incorporate this into my classroom are through my Bats unit and my spooky math hunt!
My Bats resource includes activities to integrate reading and science. I use the books Stellaluna and Nightsong as a companion! It is great to learn all about bats!
One of my students’ favorite things to do during math stations is hunt around the room for story problems! I make the problems basic enough for them to complete on their own, while still having them have to read to figure out how to solve the problem! Right now I have the spooky solve the room up in my classroom!
Grab a FREEBIE from my bats unit HERE!
Make sure to enter to win a $100 TpT gift card!!! Yes PLEASE!!! 🙂 a Rafflecopter giveaway
Want to see ALL of our resources in one place on TpT? We got you covered!!! Search #fallintogreatresources in the search engine! Happy Shopping!!
